About Dan

Dan Cruver is a writer, teacher, and host of the Light + Truth podcast at Desiring God, where he curates and presents the preaching of John Piper. He has taught in academic and church settings and speaks regularly at churches, colleges, conferences, and retreats.

Dan is the author of Loved Indeed: Reassurance for the Doubting and Suspicious (Union Publishing). He is currently writing Held Fast: Christ for You When You’re Weary and Worn (Crossway, July 2027), as well as a new book for Union Publishing, tentatively scheduled for September 2028, that invites weary Christians to overhear what Jesus says about his people before the Father.

His work helps weary believers look away from themselves and rest their faith on Christ and his finished work, finding in him the assurance that they are accepted and loved by the Father and adopted as his children. He and his wife, Melissa, live in South Carolina.
